How can I add a more sophisticated menu by using Javascript in my EditMe pages?

Q. I would like to add a more sophisticated menu to my Editme wiki. I have tried several programs that generate a javascript code that I intended to paste into the menu page. However, I have'nt been able to make it work. I have been able to make other kinds of scripts work (for example, page couter) but somehow menus elude me. Any hints?
