Changing a user's group memberships

Forums / Questions

Hi,

I added a user to a wrong group when I created them. When I went back in it would not let me save the changes unless I knew the users password.

How do I get around this security hole. As an admin I do not want to knoiw the users password and cannot ask him back in to the office every time I want to change what groups he belongs to.

Thanks.

Stu

Stu,

You don't need to know a user's password. If you leave BOTH password boxes blank, it will remain unchanged. You can also change group memberships by editing the Group instead of the User.

Cheers,
Matt
