Moving content into editme wiki, why lose old landing pages?

Forums / Suggestions

So, we are moving some external sites into editme wikis.

There are a few semi-popular landing-pages on these existing sites, and we'd really prefer not to have to "lose" those landing-pads - who knows how many people have bookmarked them.

So, I'm thinking of a new EditMe module...

It would install a new page, containing two columns of text-input fields.

On the left, admin users could enter URLs from external websites (ie, the above-mentioned landing page(s).

On the right, the admin user selects a page in the current wiki (and only in the current wiki) which should be served to browsers who call for the above-mentioned landing page.

Thanks as always for listening!

Duff,

That's a good suggestion - the ability to control 301 redirects within a site would be handy for folks moving to EditMe. Currently, this can be done manually behind the scenes. So if you have 301 redirects you'd like set up, let me know what they are.

Alternatively, if you have static content you want dumped into your site's root folder, I'm happy to do that, too. Just send it to me in a zip file.
