| 2006/09/12 | I'm sure it's been suggested, but there should be an automatic table of contents of a page generated from headings that can be used to navigate a document (like MediaWiki creates automatically). This would certainly fit well into the left or right menu bar with the whole Wiki navigation. It would also be nice if links to other pages could be inserted with the similar pull-down menu that one can enter images with right now. Thanks! | martlume |
| 2006/09/07 | I second the call for some sort of polling capability [Admin] Check out PollDaddy.com for easy-to-integrate polls. | sigg |
| 2006/09/01 | Easy encoding of email addresses I know that there is supposed to be a way to include encoded email addresses by attaching some javascript to a page (I tried it when I first subscribed but couldn't get it to work). It would be great if there was an "Encode Email Address" option in the page editing menu. Spam is such a problem By the way - MANY, MANY, MANY THANKS for the recent "captcha" anti-spam feature. | LizP |
| 2006/09/01 | It would be great to have more flexibility in the RSS feeds: one feed for new pages, one feed for changes, etc. Maybe even carry this distinction down to the individual page level (one feed PER PAGE for changes only on that page) | EvanD |
| 2006/08/29 | I could really use a poll system in which users could enter their selections and the result would show up on a particular page. Users could view all of their poll selections on their user page. Thanks- great site! [Admin] Check out PollDaddy.com for easy-to-integrate polls. | J M |
| 2006/08/26 | Add an "Email Groups" feature. Check boxes beside each group name on the groups management page and an "email these groups" link would be sufficient. Then admins could easily communicate with specific groups with only a couple of clicks. | Phil D |
| 2006-8-11 | upload a text file of users, and batch manage | todd on behalf of user |
| 2006-07-04 | in Attachments could we have a link at the top of the page to Settings? This would make it quicker to delete a page. | todd on behalf of user |
| 2006-06-06 | New user registration log-in screen customization or new user log-in routing to custom pages and additional data fields per user would be very useful. Can you advise the average number of users per editme wiki? Or a max number on a current wiki? http://wiki.editme.com/RegistrationInformationFeature | Phil |
| 2006-05-24 | Right now, I can only clear the version history from the whole Wiki. What I want is to be able to clear the version history from specific pages, or groups of pages. For example... all pages with names beginning "icix". Or perhaps a check-able list of pages... check the box for all pages on which you wish to "clear history". | admin on behalf of user |
| 2006-05-14 | "I really do think that you need to implment an upload progress indication for use when adding attachments. There's literally no indication of the upload status, and one can be led to think that something has failed." | todd on behalf of user |
| 2006-05-02 | an option to include in the menu a little calendar (showing current month, clickable to access other months): clicking on any date links to a search for that date entered in the standard format 2006-05-02 on any page (so users could be trained to add the date to any change they made to any page) | chris |
| 2006-05-02 | A skin with a two tier horizontal menu across the top | chris |
| 2006-05-02 | Some tried and tested bits of javascript provided by admin as options, eg a two tier menu, sortable tables. (I find using javascript according to the instructions provided is very hit and miss. One bit of javascript I did get to work for a while and was very useful was a sortable table (click on any heading in a table to sort by that column), although it was very sensitive to the precise way the data was entered (see www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/sorttable for the one I used).) | chris |
| 2006-05-02 | an internal search engine that works for phrases (on my wikis it only works on single words) | chris |
| 2006-05-02 | comments sortable by ascending or descending date order [Admin] This can be done with a minor change to the Layout of a site. Support can help you with this change. | chris |
| 2006-05-02 | a tagging system | chris |
| 2006-05-02 | a default set of templates for creating new pages built in e.g.

| 5/01/06 | Need a SELECT ALL button to delete old files en masse. | wholt |
| 04/15/2006 | Long suggestion moved to Registration Information Feature | Phil |
| 4/8/06 | When I link to an external page, I use the link popup feature to set the window size, and other attributes. But I need to add a '#' link url or the text is not underlined when the mouse rolls over it. There is now a bug where this link url is removed when the page is re-saved in a subsequent change. It would be nice if the popup dialog simply let me enable "show underlined link text" and if this setting was retained in subsequent changes. | williamc |
| 4/3 | A "print this page" buttion that we could add. | Thomas |
| 3/30 | favicon support | todd on behalf of user |
| 3/29/06 | An option to collect first and/or last names during the registration process. And, maybe even company, location, etc. If someone registers using an email address I don't recognize, I have to jump through hoops to verify they should indeed be granted access, that is, if I can figure out who they are! Even just a comment field viewable by only administrators would be nice. | Robin |
| 3/24/06 | A skin whose tools menu is removed altogether, accessible only by 1 master URL (?tools=show or whatever), or better yet make this an option for all the skin families currently available. A one-click skin option would save having to go into xsl. | todd |
| 3/10/06 | RE:comments and indentation Users should be able to comment on the page (as they do now) and comment in reply to a comment on the page. This should be indicated by and RE: and indented. | Jack |
| 3/10/06 | Comments Username Link Comments currently display usernames. The usernames should link either to a list of that user's edits and/or a profile/user home page. | Jack |
| 3/10/06 | Timezone support It would be helpful if individual sites could specify an appropriate time zone. This is particularly important for comments. [Admin] DONE! | Jack |
| 2/9/06 | Top Contributors Page It would be nice to have a top contributors page that listed each username with the number of pages he or she has edited. You could then click on the name and see a list of those pages. I think this would encourage people to contribute more. | ThomasUmstattd |
| 2006/02/09 | What is the possibility of adding a Global Search or Global Search and Replace feature for the HTML code of the site? This feature would simplify maintenance of broken page links, finding emails and bad urls embedded in hot links, etc. [Bill 2006-Feb-26] For the above proposed Global Search and Replace feature, suggest you also consider some sort of access control for it -- since a user mistake or misuse could have substancial unexpected site-wide consequences. Perhaps restrict it as a defualt to Adminstrator-level priviledged users. Perhaps integrate such a Global Search and Replace feature with the existing access control Group and Policies schemes. Maybe the default access control for a "regular" user, for such a feature, should be restricted to page-level Search and Replace? | Phil Duncan |
| 2006/02/09 | Suggest adding an "Email Group" feature on the groups management page to make selecting and communicating with user groups much more manageable. Its very tedious to scroll through the user list selecting individual users to email. A checkbox beside the group name would enhance site management features for administrators when they need to communicate with selected users groups. Our intranet site (www.soobahkdo.webexone.com has this feature and its very useful. | Phil Duncan |

| 2/07/06 | Re Change Notification Email events -- See Bills Change Notification Suggestions | Bill |
| 2/6/06 | It would be convenient if we only needed one user ID and password to access our web site, this community Wiki, and the EditMe help desk | David Allen |
| 2/4/06 | I understand that login tracking is something not something EditMe does at this moment, but consider it a suggestion. It would be helpful to see who does and who does not use the site (whether or not they make a change). That would give a lot of useful information for me, as well as others. | Todd on behalf of user |
| 2/2/06 | Turning on and off notifications per change incident (for small insignificant changes) | Todd on behalf of user |
| 02/02/06 | Could you make a skin similar to your Brighton Blue, but with a dark green? | Russell Kanning |
| 01-21-06 | In general preferences is a tickbox to enable/disable the "Show EditMe Menu by Default". It would be nice to have a radio button alongside that to select "show all users" or "show logged in users". That way, the menu could be disabled for casual visitors, but enabled once a registered user logs in. | Bill Claxton |
