| 12-29-05 | Options for different types of RSS feeds per site i.e. a site user could choose from site-wide feed, individual page feeds and individual page comment area feeds. Helpful for project management. | Jack |
| 12-24-05 | My Contributions feature. MediaWiki (Wikipedia and others) has a feature where users can see all the edits of any user -- a snapshot of the user's contributions to the site. This can help build reputation, or help locate something a user is doing for which s/he needs help. [Admin] DONE! | nilspeterson |
| 2005-12-15 | request that the urls in notifications be hyperlinked - mine always were until recently ??? [Admin] DONE! | Phil |
| 12/12/2005 | I think Editme could start adding some strictly non-wiki capabilities to the system. For example, other wiki engines allow users to add discussion forums or blogs to each page. Other possibilities would be the possibility to add newsletters, or a message board, and for personal reasons I would love to have a contact management system. The possibilities are endless. | Josep |
| 12/04/05 | It would be nice if the list numbering was more like outline numbering. As in 1. ... a. ... i. ... [Admin] This can be accomplished by editing your site's stylesheet and the Styles dropdown in the editor. | |
| 11/08/05 | It would be nice to be able to link directly to a specific comment on a page. That would allow text on a page to refer to comments, comments to refer to each other and so on. It also almost wholly eliminates the need for a blog. [Tracy] The answer (of course!) is to use anchors in the target comment, and a regular link from the source. Sorry, got temporarily blinded by blog-mania. | Tracy |
| 9/27/05 | We have teams from across the world maintaining our wiki and the problem we are having are the dates in the Comments. The comments do not appear in sequential order of when they were created. For example, a Pakistan entry in the morning appears before an east coast entry in the afternoon. Any cures? fixes? [Admin] Glynn, this has been fixed. If you re-apply your site's "Skin", you'll see the fix. | Glynn |
| 9/24/05 | Redirects and other .htaccess goodness Ability to choose which files are shown in Index [admin] Pages that don't have a Title set aren't shown in the index or search results. [thatadamguy] Ah, I used the wrong term! I meant to say that I was creating a number of pages to include in others; e.g., an AdWords block that can be included in other pages. Since I have to title it to refer to it and include it in other pages, the page shows up in the index by default :|. [admin] You don't have to have a title for a page to include it in other pages. You can edit your Google Ad Block page and erase the title - it will still be included in other pages but won't show up in the index. (For what it's worth, this is a temporary work-around - we do plan to add a feature to hide a page from the Index and search results.) | ThatAdamGuy |
| 9/20/05 | Anti-spam Easier file management (or at least easier deleting!) | ThatAdamGuy |
| 9/19 | 1) Spam Protection - It would be nice to have a way to undue all the edits by a particular user. Going to each vandalized page can be tedious. 2) Email Announcements - Also a way to email announcements to the registered users would be very nice. Right now I have no way to contact the “team” of people working on the site. [Admin] DONE! 3) New user Notification - Notification of when a new user signs up would be nice. Basically, I would like to have a more sophisticated user management system. [Admin] DONE! 4) Member Approval - I would like to see a way to “approve” member’s kind of how Yahoo groups does it. When someone registered they say why they want to join and then the admin gets an email saying this member would like to join for xyz reason. You could even set it up where they could do a limited amount of editing. [Admin] Done! 5) Print this page button- How hard would it be to add a "Print this page" button? The button would get rid of all the side bars and have just the content for printing. This would really help out for those wikis with long pages.
6) Preview Changes Button- nuff said [Admin] There is a Preview button on the editor toolbar. | ThomasUmstattd |
| 9/8 | Turn comments on or off for individual pages. [Admin] DONE! | todd on behalf of user |
| 9/7/05 | Allowing categories like in socialtext.com. "Basically, they all do it: Socialtext, salesforce.com self help, kb.net etc. You get to set up loads of categories and sub categories. Every time you post an article you assign it to a category (or many categories). There is then a link (a bit like your index link) which shows the category tree and you can browse articles this way." | todd on behalf of visitor |
| 9/6/05 | The ability to email a comment to a page would be awesome. | DougN |
