Bookmark Browser Module

The Bookmark Browser module displays a tag cloud and bookmarks for a Delicious account. You can see an example of this module in action at EditMe's Customer Sites Directory. This page shows the bookmarks found in EditMe's Delicious account. Additional bookmark managers may be supported as demand dictates.

Using the Bookmark Browser Module

The module is implemented as a page template. This means you can create multiple instances of the Bookmark Browser on your site. Simply create a new page and select "Bookmark Browser Template" as the template. You can change the page's title and security settings to fit your requirements.

When you first visit the page, you'll be prompted to provide a login and password for your Delicious account. The module makes no changes to your account, but the login is required for the module to access the Delicious API. This information will be stored in your site's database and could be viewed by Administrators on your site, though the module does not display this information to anyone. This information must be provided only once.

The module stores your bookmarks locally, and will check Delicious for updates every 10 minutes. Changes made to your Delicious account will take up to 10 minutes to be reflected by the Bookmark Browser module. Note that bookmarks marked as not shared within Delicious will not be imported or displayed by this module.
